SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A person riding a bicycle died last week after they were hit by a vehicle that did not stop, according to DPS.

DPS said, on Aug. 28 around 8:49 p.m. a pickup truck was traveling westbound on Farm to Market Road 16, in between Toll 49 and County Road 436.

According to DPS, the driver of the pickup struck a bicyclist and did not stop or attempt to render aid.
