A Houston woman was shot during an attempted carjacking in the 2500 block of Eagle St. early this morning.

Around 2:30 a.m., Houston Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in progress.

The victim, a woman in her mid-20s, was visiting her boyfriend when a male suspect approached her with a firearm and attempted to steal her car.
