SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A Longview woman is behind bars after a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper said she tried to ram a vehicle with her car before crashing on Interstate 20 in Smith County.

Latara Daimon Steward, 19, was held Wednesday in the Smith County Jail on bonds totaling $1. 876 million for warrants charging her with five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, three counts of child endangerment, Class C assault and giving a false statement to a peace officer, according to jail records.

A state trooper initially responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on I-20 near mile marker 571 Aug. 23, where he found a maroon Chrysler 300 with severe rollover damage, according to an affidavit.
