HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Aldine Independent School District said it is mourning the loss of a Davis High School Student following a medical emergency on campus.

School officials said the student, whose name has not been released, fell ill during physical education class in the school's gymnasium.

The district said school staff responded quickly to help the student.
