MANVEL, Texas - Manvel Mayor Dan Davis is calling on the city to reconsider its relationship with Flock Safety, saying concerns over privacy, data security, costs and the broader use of information collected by the company's automated license plate reader cameras have led him to no longer support the system.

Davis made the comments in a social media post, saying he supports the Manvel Police Department and the use of technology to help officers keep the community safe.

His concerns, he said, are specifically with Flock Safety and "the system surrounding" its cameras.
