The Joshua D. Brown Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will hold its first meeting of the 2026-27 season at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at First United Methodist Church, 321 Thompson Drive in Kerrville.

Angela Kennedy, executive director of the Heart of the Hills Heritage Center, will speak about the opening of Kerr County's newest museum.

Visitors are welcome to attend.
