Allison McGee recently stepped into the role of Managing Director at Tyler Civic Theatre Center, but this is hardly her first introduction to the theatre.

She first walked through those doors at just nine years old for STAR Camp, and says the theatre helped shape her as an artist, educator and professional.

Now, after earning her bachelor's degree from UT Tyler and a master's degree in Theatre from the University of Houston, she's returning to the place that helped influence her own journey - this time helping lead it into its next chapter.
