Laredo studies wastewater reuse to ease strain on Rio Grande

(KGNS) - Laredo gets all of its drinking water from the Rio Grande.

As growth strains that single source, a new study will explore whether treated wastewater could become another one.

The Rio Grande International Study Center and Natural Systems Utilities are partnering to review options.U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, helped secure the money for the study.
