WHITEHOUSE, Texas (KLTV) - A new public-private partnership is bringing a state-of-the-art, gap-filling weather radar to Smith County to help track low-level storms and keep East Texans safe.
ClimaVision is partnering with the City of White House and Smith County to install the new radar on top of a local water tank.
The system is designed to provide critical weather data in an area currently underserved by the National Weather Service's network."What that leaves is some gaps between those National Weather Service radars," said Tara Goode, Vice President of Partnerships and Radar Operations at ClimaVision.
