A video of a student reading a poem about Charlie Kirk at the University of Texas-San Antonio has caught the attention of university system officials and is under review for "the incitement of violence." The University of Texas System officials posted a joint statement Thursday on X that said "We will not tolerate the incitement of violence or the threat of incitement of violence by any member of our UT community." A UTSA spokesman said in an email sent Friday that the poem does not reflect the school's values.

In the video posted to social media this week, a woman approaches a booth on UTSA's campus for a Pick Up the Mic event, hosted by Texas Youth Summit founder Christian Collins.

Collins, a conservative political activist, said he would pray for the student after she read a poem he described as "celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk." Kirk was fatally shot last September at a Turning Point event in Utah.
