Election clerks, judges and coordinators have been hard at work over the past few months preparing for the Nov. 3 general election, but their work begins long before election season.
Comal County Elections Coordinator Cynthia Jaqua said that some election cycles take an entire year of preparation, from filing voter registrations to finding polling locations.
The county has approximately 150,000 registered voters and anticipates 4,000 to 5,000 mail-in ballots this year.
