(WLOX/Gray News) - A man riding a bike was hit and killed by a train while trying to cross the tracks in front of it, according to police.

The Biloxi Police Department reported the man was hit and killed by a freight train at about 8 a.m. Tuesday on the tracks near Eisenhower Drive.

According to police, the man was trying to beat the train when he was hit.
