Lamar CISD opens its CTE center with hopes of helping students land more than careers

Lamar CISD opened a new career and technical education center in Rosenberg to provide nearly 1,000 students with job training and placement opportunities.

ROSENBERG, Texas (KTRK) -- Lamar CISD opened a career and technical education center that research shows provides more than job placement for students upon graduation.

Nearly 1,000 Lamar CISD students are walking the halls of the district's newest campus.

It is a building that looks very different from what they're used to.
