ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Disaster relief is underway for some residents of West Odessa following strong microbursts and flooding overnight.

Areas surrounding Sir Barton Avenue and Triple Crown Drive experienced structural damage to homes and property as storms and heavy rainfall continue to affect the area.

Red Cross representatives said houses and garage structures took the strongest hit."There's been damage to houses and garage structures. We're continuing to work with management officials just to see what other needs that the community in West Odessa has," said Aaron Gomez, community disaster program manager, Red Cross Permian Basin.
