MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Families at Sam Houston Elementary will have to wait a little longer to meet their child's teacher after the school's "Meet the Teacher" event was postponed due to construction issues and air conditioning problems.

Midland ISD District 4 Trustee Matt Friez said a water line was hit during construction last week.

Once that was repaired, crews found a separate leak in the chilled water system, which knocked out the school's air conditioning.
