TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Kendrick Ross testified in his own defense Friday during his murder trial, saying he feared for his life before firing a gun that killed 32-year-old Demonta Jaquis Brown in October 2025.

Ross is charged with murder in Brown's death and aggravated assault for injuring Brown's sister, Autumn Pierce, in the shooting.

Ross says he acted in self-defense.
