BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - Voters in Brazos County Precinct 4 will choose between Democratic incumbent Wanda J. Watson and Republican challenger Peter Michelena.

Both describe Precinct 4 - largely north and west Bryan - as one of the county's most diverse precincts, and both say giving it a voice on Commissioners Court is central to their campaigns."I believe that if you're running for office, you're running to represent the residents," Watson said.

"The people part of being commissioner is the part that I like, and I want to continue that.""I believe that we need better representation," Michelena said, pointing to the county's 5. 6% tax rate increase.
