The City of New Braunfels and Waste Management hosted Party for the Planet on Friday, July 17, at Fischer Park, bringing families together for a celebration focused on environmental education, conservation and sustainability.

The free event celebrated World Environment Day and featured a DJ, foam party, splash pad activities, games, environmental education, crafts and food trucks.

Community partners included New Braunfels Utilities, Headwaters at the Comal, Waste Management, Texas Master Naturalists - Lindheimer Chapter, Comal Conservation, Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas and the New Braunfels Food Bank.
