PALO PINTO COUNTY, Texas (KWTX/KTVT) - A rapidly moving wildfire that sparked Monday afternoon near Ross has exploded to at least 50,000 acres across Palo Pinto and Jack counties, according to a report from CBS Texas.

As of Tuesday morning, the Ross fire was only 5% contained.

The extreme activity has forced evacuations in neighboring Jack County, specifically along County Road 2210 toward Highway 281.
