WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A friend of Michael David Morris testified Tuesday that Romi Frentescu threatened him with a gun after the man witnessed Frentescu shoot and kill Morris and his teenage son in October 2024 near Bruceville-Eddy.

Frentescu, 33, former secretary of the Ugly Man Cossacks motorcycle group, is charged with capital murder in 19th State District Court in the shooting deaths of Morris, 38, a member of a rival Cossacks splinter group, and his 18-year-old son, Braxton Johnson.

In second-day prosecution testimony, Brian Pugh told jurors that he had been living in Morris' garage apartment for about 18 months and considered Morris his brother and Johnson his nephew.
