HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A suspect is in custody more than 12 hours after a shooting left a Harris County Sheriff's Office deputy injured, authorities confirm.

HCSO issued a Blue Alert on Thursday morning to help track down 25-year-old Chase Layne Patin.

In an update, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the suspect was in custody following a massive search into the morning.
