LORENA, Texas (KWTX) - A federal judge is weighing whether Jane Doe, the 10-year-old girl sexually abused by her teacher at Lorena Primary School five years ago, must give a deposition in her parents' lawsuit against Lorena ISD and Principal April Jewell.U.S. Magistrate Judge Dan MacLemore peppered both sides with questions Tuesday during a pretrial hearing before taking under advisement what he termed the plaintiffs' unusual and "extraordinary" request to block the school district from deposing the traumatized girl.

Plaintiffs in civil suits, including minors, normally are subject to being deposed, the judge said, adding courts routinely deny similar requests but have wide discretion in their rulings.
