A telephone scam has resurfaced asking people to cough up some money or go to jail, according to the Hutto Police Department.
Officers have received several reports regarding the recurring hustle.
Investigators said what makes this shakedown a little more convincing is the offenders use the names of actual judges, constables or deputies at a sheriff's office.
