MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - With the first day of school just weeks away, health experts say now is the time for families to make sure children are healthy and ready for the classroom.

As families prepare for a new school year, pharmacists say back to school health checks are just as important as buying school supplies.

They recommend making sure children are up to date on required vaccinations and reviewing any necessary medications.
