WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Baylor University celebrated a major milestone Tuesday with the ceremonial sign unveiling of the newly named Moody School of Education, honoring a transformational $30 million gift that represents the largest single contribution in the school's 107-year history.

The landmark gift from the Galveston-based Moody Foundation, originally announced in January, will provide permanent support through five distinct endowments.

The funding will secure scholarships, establish a professorship in school psychology, and expand research and program resources for the Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing, Gifted Education & Talent Development, and the Baylor Center for School Leadership."Today is a significant moment in the 107-year history of Baylor University's Moody School of Education," Baylor President Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D., said during the ceremony.
