(Gray News) - A Kentucky couple is accused of waiting hours to call for help after toddlers ate 20 hemp gummies, according to authorities.

Courtney Johnson, 30, was arrested in July after her 3-year-old and her 4-year-old children were hospitalized for allegedly eating hemp-infused gummies, police said.

A special victims investigator spoke with Johnson, who said she had opened a new container of 25 "hemp-infused gummies" and took one before going to sleep, WDKY reported.
