BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Fire Prevention Week kicked off Sunday, and Texas A&M Forest Service is encouraging Texans to practice safe lithium-ion battery charging habits.

The week is sponsored by the National Fire Protection Association.

This year's theme is "Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging is a Superpower," highlighting safe ways to use, charge and store batteries.
