LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A technical error made at the state level has caused a major backlog of processing thousands of Texas voter registration applications, according to a report by the Texas Tribune.

Texas election officials say the error made by the Department of Public Safety caused incomplete voter registration records, which prevented them from being sent to county registrars.
