(Pete Luna|Leader-News) The Uvalde Coyotes lost their first football game of the season on Sept. 11 as they dropped a 20-14 double-overtime decision against the Hondo Owls.

They finished the game with a 17-10 edge over Hondo in first downs and a big 354-175 advantage in total offensive yards.
