A fatal crash involving a pedestrian on an e-scooter has closed all northbound lanes of MoPac at 45th Street in Austin, with traffic expected to be diverted for several more hours.

AUSTIN, Texas - All northbound lanes of MoPac are shut down at 45th Street after a fatal crash involving a pedestrian on an e-scooter.

Why you should care: Traffic is being forced off the highway at 45th Street with MoPac closed northbound through the 4700 block.

Drivers are urged to find alternate routes as all lanes are expected to be shut down for several more hours.
