(Hali Mecklin|Leader-News) Uvalde officials said first responders are actively rescuing individuals from northern Uvalde County communities, but no people had been reported missing, injured or dead as of 10 a.m. July 15. There is no mandatory evacuation order in place as of 11 a.m., but the Uvalde Police Department asked city residents living near rivers, creeks and sloughs to voluntarily evacuate, specifically those in the Morales Junior High area.
Local, state and federal agencies have rescued around 25 people so far.
