The New Braunfels City Council approved a no-new revenue tax rate of 0. 415613 per $100 for the 2027 fiscal year on Aug. 19, following two days of budget workshops.

The rate is an approximate one-cent increase from the current tax rate of 0. 4089, which has been held for the past three years.

At previous budget workshop meetings, city staff was directed to provide potential scenarios using the no-new revenue rate to address additional initiatives for police, fire, streets and employee compensation, Assistant City Manager Jared Werner said.
