Texas A&M AgriLife estimates that producers will have enough moisture to recharge depleted soil profiles as they head into fall and winter, thanks to a historically strong El Nio.

According to AgriLife experts, storms in early October left water standing in fields across parts of the state, including some Panhandle areas that received 8-9 inches over the past few weeks.

AgriLife reports that Texas does have wet fields in places right now, but it's surface moisture instead of deep moisture.
