LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Lubbock Independent School District has earned a perfect 100 out of 100 on the Texas Education Agency's School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST), marking an 'A' rating for the 25th consecutive year.

Lubbock ISD has maintained an 'A' (Superior Achievement) rating every year since the state accountability system was created in 2001 to evaluate the financial management, health, and stewardship of Texas public school districts."A score of 100 represents the highest level of achievement possible and reflects the hard work and dedication of the district's financial and business operations teams," said Dr. Dewayne Wilkins, Lubbock ISD Chief Financial Officer.

Superintendent Dr. Kathy Rollo credited the district's finance team, noting that the perfect score reflects strong stewardship of taxpayer resources that directly benefit classrooms, staff, and students across the district.
