TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Two Tyler men are accused of assaulting a man inside a Whataburger restaurant due to affiliations with a rival street gang, according to affidavits.

Police arrested Isaac Emanuel Arredondo, 17, and Jorge Padilla, 18, Saturday after the agency said they assaulted a man inside a Whataburger on North Gentry Parkway in Tyler, according to affidavits obtained after their arrests.

Officers said the victim stood near a lobby counter when several males - later identified as Arredondo, Padilla and Arredondo's younger brother - confronted the victim before repeatedly punching and kicking him while Padilla hit him in the head with a handgun, according to the affidavits.
