WACO, Texas (KWTX) - An intermediate appellate court in Waco has dismissed as moot an appeal by the National Collegiate Athletic Association that challenged a judge's ruling that allowed Texas A&M basketball player Rashaun Agee to play this past season.

The NCAA appealed a Brazos County judge's decision to grant a temporary restraining order that blocked an NCAA ruling that Agee had exhausted his college eligibility and banned him from playing.

Agee, a 25-year-old Chicago native, sued the NCAA and obtained a TRO from 472th State District Judge G. Jerell Wise, allowing him to lead the Aggies into the second round of the 2026 NCAA tournament before losing to Houston.
