If severe weather has thrown off your routine in the Houston area - closed roads, pharmacy delays, power outages - TRICARE beneficiaries can temporarily refill certain prescriptions early under an emergency waiver now in effect through July 25, according to the Defense Health Agency.

TRICARE is the Department of Defense health insurance program for service members, military retirees and eligible family members.

This waiver is meant for a simple problem many families run into after major weather: you still need your medication, even when normal systems aren't working.
