Board members on the Fredericksburg Hospital Authority voted to dissolve their organization at what they hope will be its final meeting Monday, Oct. 26, at Create Healthy, 101 Ida Mae Drive.

Initially formed by the Fredericksburg City Council in 2012, the hospital authority's mandate was to disburse Medicaid and other reimbursements to Hill Country Memorial Hospital as well as Peterson Health.

Since the FHA was created by the City Council, the council must approve its dissolution.
