MAGNOLIA, Texas - A clap of thunder was mistaken for a gunshot at Willie E. Williams Elementary School in Magnolia, leading to a 911 call and a large law enforcement response around 12:45 p.m., according to Magnolia ISD.

The district said the teacher was in an interior room and did not realize a thunderstorm was moving into the area.

The call prompted Precinct 5 constables and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office to respond immediately, while several Magnolia ISD schools temporarily went into lockdown.
