THE BOOKWORM If you haven't read "The Time it Never Rained" or "The Good Old Boys" by Elmer Kelton, I highly recommend adding those titles to your "To Be Read" stack for Texas literature.

Kelton (1926 -2009) lived most of his life in San Angelo and won the Western Writers of America Spur Award seven times.

We will be commemorating the centennial of this great writer at the 2026 Boerne Book Festival, where some of today's authors will discuss his influence on their work.
