Search underway for missing swimmer at Sam Rayburn

Search underway for a missing swimmer at Sam Rayburn Lake in Jasper County after a woman was rescued by a jet ski rider.

JASPER COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - According to Sheriff Chuck Havard, on Thursday at approximately 2:15 p.m., the Jasper County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call regarding a woman who had been rescued in Sam Rayburn Lake near Twin Dikes.

The woman who was rescued advised a civilian riding a jet ski was able to pick her up and bring her to land.

Search underway for missing swimmer at Sam Rayburn(Jasper County Sheriff's Office on Facebook)Havard said that once deputies arrived, the rescued woman advised the deputies that she and her husband were in the lake, got off their boat and went for a swim.
