LINDALE, Texas (KLTV) - The Lindale Candy Company is celebrating its 80th anniversary this week, with events continuing through Saturday."We're celebrating 80 years here at the candy company," said Jeremiah Cagle, owner of Lindale Candy Company.

A family business dating back to 1946Cagle and his wife, Kaitlin, have owned the store since 2019.

They are the latest in a line of owners dating back to 1946, when Jim "Candy Man Jim" Withrow first opened the store."Candyman Jim was a veteran. Once the war ended, he came back to the East Texas area and needed something to do, and he thought candy," Cagle said.
