The Fredericksburg Fire/EMS Department and its volunteers will hold a Halloween Open House and Safety Fair on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 4-7:30 p.m. The family-friendly event, held at the Downtown Fire Station, 124 W. Main St., will feature fun and treats as well as handouts and demonstrations from various public safety agencies.

Trick-or-treaters are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes to tour the fire station, learn about the operations and pick up some candy.
