(KGNS) - Two people are facing charges of injury to a child after a Laredo Police Department investigation into a report of physical abuse of an infant, police said.

On June 20, the Department of Family and Protective Services received a report of physical abuse of an infant from a children's specialty hospital in Corpus Christi, according to police.

The report alleged the child had non-accidental trauma.
