HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A Magnolia woman pleaded guilty after she was accused of Medicaid fraud worth over $477,000, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
In a press release shared Friday, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas said Tekiyah McLeod, 34, was the registered agent for a purported mental health therapy company, nLove Community Services LLC. According to officials, McLeod admitted that she billed Medicaid about $477,800 for mental health therapy services that were never provided, including services reportedly provided for herself.
Authorities said she also used a nurse practitioner's name and National Provider Identifier to submit the fraudulent claims without the practitioner knowing.
