A federal judge on Friday put a temporary pause to any kind of construction at Big Bend National Park by the United States government.

A legal fight over potential border barrier construction in and around Big Bend National Park brought prayer, ceremony and protest outside the federal courthouse in downtown San Antonio.

The lawsuit was filed by People of La Junta Preservation, members of the Lipan Apache community and Far Flung Outdoor Center, a small business operating in the Big Bend region.
