CLIFTON, Texas (KBTX) - Kasidy Stewart, a 30-year-old mother, is fighting for her life after a catastrophic crash on Highway 6 last week.

On July 20, Kasidy was taking her 3-year-old son, Asher, who has special needs, to his therapy appointment when tragedy struck near FM 2136, northwest of CliftonAccording to DPS, Kasidy's truck crossed into oncoming traffic, possibly to avoid a vehicle entering the intersection, and collided with a Ford F-250.

Asher miraculously survived, but Kasidy suffered a traumatic brain injury and remains in a coma.
