Uber launched a livestream feature that allows parents to monitor their teen's rides in real time, the company said in a news release.

Through the Uber driver's front-facing camera, the release said parents can check on how their teens' Uber rides are going via the livestream.

The rideshare company said a push notification will be sent to the parent or guardian who's linked to the teen's account if the driver has the livestream feature enabled.
