(KGNS) - The Republican mid-term convention moves into its second day after the White House called the first day successful, following the president's one-hour and 47-minute speech on the opening evening.

On Thursday, Sept. 10, a number of Republicans running for the House, Senate and governors' mansions across the country are scheduled to speak, including Texas congressional candidate Tano Tijerina, who is running for the District 28 seat.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson is scheduled to speak as part of the day's events.
