(25News Now/Gray News) - A youth sports coach has been sentenced to 26 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl he coached.

Aydan Trueblood was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to predatory criminal sexual assault in August, according to the Peoria County State's Attorney's Office.

Assistant State's Attorney Dave Gast argued for the 30-year maximum permitted under the plea agreement, emphasizing the victim's age.
